Recreation Department
The Willows Recreation Department provides a variety of seasonal sports and enrichment programs that encourage youth to stay active, build skills, and have fun throughout the year. Our programs are designed for participants of all skill levels and emphasize teamwork, confidence-building, and positive recreation in a safe and supportive environment.
Programs offered throughout the year include Basketball, Spring and Fall Soccer, Summer Swimming, and the Jumpstart Preschool Program.
All registrations are managed through the Parks & Recreation Portal, where participants can find current schedules, availability, and registration details during open sign-up periods.
First-time users must create a new account before registering.
Youth Basketball Program
Season: Late January – Early March
Location: Willows Intermediate School Gym
Game Day: Saturdays
The Willows Recreation Department Youth Basketball Program provides a fun and supportive environment for players to learn the fundamentals of basketball while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
The first two weeks of the program focus on skills and drills, including dribbling, passing, shooting, and basic game concepts. The remaining weeks transition into organized games, allowing participants to apply their skills in a structured and age-appropriate setting.
Age Groups:
4–6 years
7–9 years
10–14 years
This program is open to all skill levels and is designed to encourage physical activity and positive participation in youth sports.
Spring Soccer Program
Season: Late March – Early May
Location: Willows Intermediate School
Game Day: Saturdays
The Spring Soccer Program provides a fun and supportive environment for players to learn the fundamentals of soccer while building confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Summer Swimming Program
Season: July – August
Location: Willows High School Pool
The Willows Recreation Department offers a free, drop-in recreational swimming program for the community during the summer months.
No registration is required. Participants may attend on a drop-in basis during scheduled swim hours.
This program provides a safe and supervised environment that promotes water safety, physical activity, and summer recreation for youth and families.
Jump Start Program
Season: Early July – Early August
Session Format: Four (4) one-week sessions
The Jump Start Program is a short-term enrichment program designed to help young children ages 2-5 years prepare for kindergarten in a fun and supportive learning environment.
The program focuses on early learning skills, social development, and structured play to support school readiness.
Eligibility Requirement:
Participants must be fully potty trained.

Season: Late September – Early November
