Finance Department
Mission
To ensure the City’s financial integrity and promote timely, effective, accountable, and transparent government; to be a model of good governance and municipal finance management; provide ongoing support to the City Council and City departments; and to make the City a better place to live and work.
Services
The Department is responsible for payroll, accounts payable/receivable, utility billing, portfolio investments, maintaining the General Ledger, financial reporting, the annual budget, the annual audit, risk management and liability, and human resources.
Staff
The Finance Department consists of a Finance Director and Finance & Human Resources Specialist. The City also contracts with a Finance Consultant who provides additional support including building the City’s annual budget, the mid-year budget review and adjustment, financial forecasting, and preparation for the annual audit.
